Modisana holds a Master of Science in Minerals and Energy Economics from Curtin Graduate School of Business, Perth and a Bachelor of Engineering with honours in Metallurgy and Material Science from Liverpool University, United Kingdom.

Director of BotsGas Botswana (Pty) Ltd; Business Development Manager residing in Botswana and attends to Regulatory Affairs and Community Relations.

Mining Engineer with over 40 years experience in project planning, management and project service industries, specialising in establishing executive management teams and detailed corporate planning.

A veteran geophysicist of the petroleum industry, CBM expert and proven CBM company builder who has also developed new, innovative completion and production methods for CBM.

BSc in Geological Engineering and a Masters of Global Energy Management.

Tim studied at the Colorado School of Mines and the University of Colorado. Tim is a 40+ year veteran of the oil and gas industry. He was President and Managing Director of Strata-X Ltd (ASX:SXA) (which merged with Real Energy to become PH2). Tim assumed the role of General Manager when Botala negotiated to farm-in to the Serowe Coal Bed Methane (CBM) Project in Botswana.

Patrick Ellis is a Mining Executive and Engineering Professional with particular expertise in developing and running international mineral extraction operations. This experience is underpinned by a career of over 30 years in providing leadership to multiple open cut and underground mines in the metalliferous and coal sectors.

Steve brings to Botala expertise gained during a long career of leadership in the energy, sustainability, and management fields, with operational and strategic responsibilities covering the full suite of sustainability disciplines of environment, social development, economics, technology, safety, security and integrated reporting.

His numerous executive positions with Eskom from 1986 to 2015 give Steve a unique understanding of southern Africa’s power generation and distribution infrastructure and services and its complex engineering, financial, political, and social challenges.

Steve is a specialist advisor on climate change policy and strategies, including fuel switching and carbon financing. He was a Climate Change negotiator for the South African government in United Nations processes; Lead Author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and successfully managed the relationship with the World Bank to secure a USD $4,6bn loan for renewable and coal-based power generation plants for South Africa.

From 2002 to 2014 Steve chaired the South African National Advisory Council for Innovation.
